2015 January 1st - December 31st Toronto and environs - Home 👍

Dateline: 2015

January 1st - December 31st Toronto, Ontario

Just another year, Family

Deep mid winter, complete with half arsed sun room upgrades. January

Just to prove it was winter
Note the bench and the old
school hydro pole back wall

The roof needs a new set of shingles
I gamble and get a cheap one done in February

The work was great (so far), but they made a big mess, like roofing nails everywhere like driveways

I rush back from Chiang Mai for the patient.
February

The patient. I'm totally jet lagged on
Bangkok time

Post and pre agony
with a new knee

Oh GOD! Really? And you volunteered for this?
Keep me away from this knife business. Ugh!
And of course, I still have
to manhandle Kayla's
house

Somewhere in here, France and Ireland
Patty has acquired a
rustbucket crap vehicle
With my excessive expertise with rust
but never this much, I set to work with my friend, the resin pot
And this is the residue
She kept it for years

July. Note updated concrete wall. Benches still there

I know, this isn't particularly exciting,
but probably a lot better than some folks lives
Spot the rotting sun room structure and cracked windows?

We head up to inspect
Carmen and Andrei's new
addition: Andy, born
July 27th 2015 at 9:36pm

Family doing well

Andrei revelling in parenting II

I embark on kitchen upgrades
something I've been meaning to do for 10 years
Aiden still pursuing his dreams of becoming Luke Skywalker
July

Keen observers will note that I've
chosen to
ignore the structural
issues for yet another year

October

Even in 2015, I realise I'm never going
to need my super upmarket hi tech paraphernalia. Off to Kijiji

And yet somehow, the backyard workshop is still kept busy

Note monstrosity now next door

When you own a house, you always
need a toolbox and a workshop

Moe's birthday, I'd guess. Probably at Queens Pasta

And Toronto still manages to deliver. November

I've been meaning to fix the kitchen cupboard doors for a decade
Stunning revelations by your correspondent

Mid November. Junior arrives for Respite care

Live it up, because this won't last forever

R&R Central. A well deserved break from the stresses of
living with other family members I guess

Hallelujah! Someone takes my
wobbles seriously at last
Years later, more or less totally
cured, I often forget how important
this letter was. Even though it took
6 months for them to give me the
correct drugs
Finally, I had a life again and my
wobbles had met their match

 For my MRI brain scan
Total claustrophobic panic for first attempt, next one, lots of drugs

The old telephone poles wall has gone.
It was a hell of a mess and the contractor has left a lot of it
I need to get legal, but next year

From here, we head off to Hawaii for 2 weeks, then, with one night in Toronto for our laundry needs, we head to France to pick up our return ticket for December 15th

Kayla's house, redux
Needs new shingles
And the water damage....
And who is responsible for this? Dad of course
Christmas Eve in the workhouse, here without benches
Yes, our lives are really not too interesting are they.

Another year, almost over
Note gay balls and occasional lights. That's it for 2015 folks

And with a mighty WHOOSH!, it was all gone
