This trips travelling map

Just another year. Family, Not Family. January - December

Can you believe this? January 7th, and it's almost like spring

Wingporium. Aidens favourite bar/ food joint
I restricted myself to no more than once a month

Aidens latest call for help, or something
Moe's mother dies in Thunder Bay
We have the mission to look after Xeno, their dog
He is shit scared of the cat

It's time for this one to go to that
great scrap yard in the
Mississauga region
It's Margaret's 80th birthday.
We head up to celebrate with her

Aiden modelling, something
or other
And on the same day: April for cherry blossoms in High Park

Kayla's house in London
Who's the handyman?

We are 4. Gerry, me, Kayla and the missus attending Richards
60th birthday part. We outnumber his friends there

We have the guest cottages. Liv and Forest are in attendance

Down to the local creek for a cooling off
I thing Bruce Springsteen could write something angst
riden for this weekend

Gerry keeping up with the Leafs scoring

The family including Richards beautiful wife,
plus a couple who were the epitome of ugly Americans (I know, don't ask)

Did you miss the first one?
More of the same here folks

Relief! Back to the sanity of the homeland
The Distillery for relief

And,  back to the sanity of my bike

Your correspondent in typical pose
and activities
Lunch at the Palais Royale

Dateline: 2012 October 8th Toronto, Ontario

This trips travelling map

September 29th October 7th - Time Share Hilton Head, South Carolina
Melanie & Brian

I've booked a large car to take down to a timeshare
The brakes are shot
This is somewhere in the Smokey Mountains
The local Marina and
generic tourist hangout,
aka "funspot"
With stunning insight, this is Harbour Town

We drive down to Savannah
And take a god awful bus tour (complete with tip jar)
around the town

Looks like a tourist boat trip. Savannah Georgia
As ever, we have rented bikes and
set off
into the gated community
What can I say? It's the states
It's pretty much uniformly awfully
American
and much awful America

Aiden's Birthday bike
The last one from Canadian Tire was such a
pathetic joke
We are still over subscribed with time shares
This the only shot of "Haliburton Heights"
It was totally dire, and so was our interaction
Val & Gerry came for bridge and stayed for the night
As per the script, we celebrate,
such as it is,
Aidens birthday

Leonard Cohen in London
(Ontario)
This guy was such a great entertainer
plus, a great poet, singer and showman,
Canadian style

We loved every minute, knowing that we would never
see him again

Here we go. Kids these days....
Another Christmas gift.
At least it's an Android

Christmas, The usual suspects

And the usual kids of course

Now this was probably the funniest night of the year
A few of Ilge's swimming buddies and us significant (or in my case, insignificant) others, aka guys
We are trying to play Balderdash. A fun memory game
For everyone in their 60's or 70's, as the evening wore on
some of the players couldn't even remember what game we are playing
I had a hoot. Couldn't remember shit of course, but nor could anyone

A fairly dull year at the homestead, I left the family with prejudice for 3 months and hid in UK and France. All to no avail
I'm back

Happy New Year!
